The Women’s Comfort Mule Tara black is an AIRPLUM product, a manufacturer of French slippers since 1947. Located in the Green Périgord, specifically in Augignac, Dordogne, our small-scale business is one of the last workshops that preserves the artisanal and industrial know-how of French slippers in a highly competitive market. For three generations, the business developed within the family, preserving this traditional expertise. The company was then sold to people from Toulouse in 2014. In 2023, AIRPLUM was acquired by three friends who are experts and passionate about the “Manufactured In France” concept and exports. They took over the business to save the fifty employees’ jobs and prevent the brand from being forgotten. Fans of French manufacturing, their goal is to maintain the brand’s DNA while evolving it with the times, in the digital age. Today, we produce 80 slipper models per season, including mule slippers, charentaise-style slippers, espadrille-style footwear, and even summer shoes as comfortable as slippers. Our French slippers truly embody French heritage.
